Aboriginal people feel Labor isn’t listening to them after voice defeat, Uluru statement co-author says

One of the architects of the   Indigenous voice to parliament   says Aboriginal Australians increasingly feel the government isn’t listening to their views on laws and policy design, warning against closed-shop public consultations in the wake of the referendum defeat. Megan Davis, a constitutional scholar and signatory to the Uluru statement from the heart, said the re-elected Albanese government was facing growing displays of discontent and needed a new approach to improve the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Is Thatch Harming Your Lawn? A Simple Guide To Manage It

If your lawn feels spongy or looks patchy, thatch might be the reason. Thatch is a layer of dead grass, roots, and debris that builds up between the soil and your living grass. A little thatch can help protect your lawn, but too much can stop water, air, and nutrients from getting through. This can lead to dry spots, weak grass, and even pests. To manage it, check your lawn by pressing your hand down or using a small tool to measure the thickness. If it is over half an inch thick, it might be time to dethatch. Regular mowing, proper watering, and yearly aeration can also help. Understanding thatch helps you keep your lawn healthy, green, and looking its best.
